NOTE: This Event will also double as the Qualifier Event for the 2012 Highland Senior Ryder Cup Team (Gold Tees).

ELIGIBILITY: Age 55 as at July 21^st, 2011

WHAT DIVISION SHOULD I BE PLAYING IN?

Blue Tee Division (18 + handicap)

Championship Flight: Age 55-69 Gold Tees (handicap <18)

Super Senior Championship: Age 70+ Silver Tees (any handicap)

If you choose to play Gold Tees you are eligible for prizes within your Flight

TEE TIMES: Tee Times on both days are blocked from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a draw prepared by the Committee--OR--- you may make your own tee time on Thursday, July 21^st only. Final day pairings and times will be established by the Committee using standard Championship Tournament format.

ENTRY FEE: Your $49 entry (Including all taxes) includes Dinner Friday, July 22^nd at 6:30 p.m. and Prizes.

PRIZE DONATIONS: Please deliver any prize donations to Mike Silver.

British Open Pool

2nd Annual British Open Pool 2011

This year's Open Championship will be played Thursday, July 14 - Sunday, July 17 

at Royal St. Georges, Sandwich, Kent, England 

Entry Fee: $10 (cash please - attached to your entry)

Format: Choose 2 players from each listed category, plus 2 additional 'BONUS PICKs'

Pool entry forms will be available in the Pro Shop and at the Bar Lounge beginning Saturday, July 9th and on the Men's Golf Committee blog.

Please fill out your form, attach your entry fee and return TO THE PRO SHOP.

On Ladies Night (Tuesday) and Men's Night (Wednesday), feel free to drop off your entry to a Golf Committee Member as well.

The Open Pool is open to all Highland Members - enter soon and enter often !

Match Play Reminder

The first round of matches are scheduled to wrap up this week...

Just a reminder moving forward about the handicap format:


In SINGLES matches, each player receives 80% of their handicap and the match is played off the lower of the two.

For example: If PLAYER 'A' is a 6 and PLAYER 'B'  an 8, 2 strokes are given.


In the TWO MAN matches, each player receives 80% of their handicap and ALL players receive strokes where they fall according to the scorecard.
